Saakashvili To Stay In Europe In Coming Weeks

Former president of Georgia / former chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration / leader of the New Forces Movement political party Mikheil Saakashvili intends to stay in Europe in the coming weeks.

He announced this at a press conference in Warsaw (Poland), Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In the coming weeks I will have active work with the European Parliament, with European and American politicians. We will be drawing our own 'Magnitsky List' on Ukrainian corruption," he said.

Within days Mikheil Saakashvili will meet with his family in the Netherlands.

He says he will not apply for the political asylum in Poland.

Mikheil Saakashvili says Poland can demand his readmission in Ukraine any moment.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Mikheil Saakashvili, who was deported from Ukraine and accepted by Poland under a readmission agreement on February 12, said he would return to Ukraine soon and was looking for ways to do so legally.
