Saakashvili Looking For Ways To Return To Ukraine Legally Soon

Former president of Georgia and leader of the New Forces Movement party Mikheil Saakashvili, who was deported from Ukraine and accepted by Poland under a readmission agreement on February 12, says he will return to Ukraine and is looking for ways to do so legally.

He said this live on "ZIK" television channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Of course, I will return to Ukraine. By all means. I think we will find a way to do this legally," he said.

Saakashvili says he has checked into hotel in Warsaw.

He also says he is under protection of local police.

He says he has plans to join a procession of the New Forces Movement party in Ukraine but he doubts he will be able to do this on February 18.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Poland has accepted Mikheil Saakashvili under a readmission agreement.

Officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine deported Saakashvili to Poland on February 12, 2018.
