Groysman Meets With IMF Mission Chief van Rooden

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has met with Ron van Rooden, IMF Mission Chief for Ukraine.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement reads that the meeting took place in Kyiv on February 12.

According to photos of the meeting posted by the Cabinet of Ministers, participating in the meeting were NBU acting governor Yakiv Smolii, Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk, First Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova, Deputy Minister Yurii Butsa, and other officials.

Participating in the meeting were also First Vice Prime Minister / Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv and Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 12, experts of the International Monetary Fund arrived in Ukraine for technical negotiations with the government.

Experts of the mission of the International Monetary Fund will be in Ukraine February 12-16.

IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said during a news briefing in Davos (Switzerland) on January 24 that the IMF was ready to continue supporting Ukraine in implementing reforms and called for acceleration of the reforms.
