The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has served notices of suspicion to a number of people suspected of shooting and killing policemen during the Euromaidan protest actions in Kyiv in 2014.
Oleksii Donskoi, a prosecutor of the special investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office, announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
He said the Prosecutor General's Office was investigating two criminal cases on facts of killing and shooting at policemen during the protest actions.
"There is a case on facts of killing and attempts on killing of representatives of law enforcement agencies. Within the case the investigation is establishing circumstances of illegal use of fire arms against law enforcement agencies by certain groups of citizens... Certain persons have been served notices of suspicion within the criminal case," he said.
He refused to disclose who had been served the notices of suspicion in the criminal case.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Prosecutor General's Office investigated activists from the Bratstvo party and the Right Sector organization for involvement in the murders of law enforcement officers during the Euromaidan protest actions.
