The Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF) will initiate raising the guaranteed amount of deposits to be paid.
DGF Chief Executive Officer Kostiantyn Vorushylin said this at a press-conference on Thursday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
However, he did not specify the level the amount is initiated to be raised to.
"We won't obviously raise the level by UAH 10,000 or UAH 20,000. I suppose it is likely to make at least UAH 300,000 - 400,000," he noted.
Current the guaranteed amount is UAH 200,000. The level was set in summer 2012.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February 2017, the DGF said it did not plan to raise the guaranteed amount at the earliest possible time.
