Approximately UAH 253 million of estimated UAH 153 billion of budget losses has been recovered and re-paid to the state budget as a result of the activity of the National Anticorruption Bureau (NACB). The Ukrainian News Agency learnt this from the NACB's annual report. According to the report, in 2017, the NACB received the total of 542 graft offense alerts and claims. The NACB drafted indictment acts against 165 persons, of whom 19 resulted in court indictments. The agency recovered in compensation and damages under graft crimes the total of UAH 153,287,824,000. The net worth of all claims brought to court total UAH 6 billion. There were assets arrested worth UAH 654 million and USD 158.5 million. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the NACB only once had a full-access opportunity to examine an electronic register of declarations filed by Ukrainian top officials, because starting from December 8, 2017, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention partially limited the access to the register to the NACB.
