PrivatBank, a state-run bank, intends to receive UAH 4 billion (or UAH 169,300 per employee) in profit in 2018.
The bank has said this in a report on preliminary financial results of 2017, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In addition, the bank plans to increase a credit portfolio of legal entities by 57% or UAH 4.5 billion, a credit portfolio of individuals - by 18% or UAH 9.1 billion; it also plans to attract funds from legal entities by 8% or UAH 3.4 billion more, and from individuals - by 18% or UAH 14 billion more than the year before.
The bank also plans to form insurance reserves at the level of UAH 2.3 billion for the working portfolio and to repay toxic assets worth UAH 3.6 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2018, PrivatBank planned to cut its branch and outlet network by 182 outlets to 2,061 outlets.
As at January 1, 2018, the bank operated a network of 2,243 outlets.
At the December 18, 2016 meeting the Cabinet of Ministers decided to nationalize PrivatBank.
The Cabinet also decided to provide additional financing to the bank worth UAH 116.8 billion, which was provided in two installments, in December 2016 and February 2017.
