Kyivstar Wins 3 4G Licenses, Lifecell And Vodafone Ukraine 2 Each

lifecell mobile communication operator (former Astelit) has won the first lot in the auction for 4G (LTE) within the 2540-2545, 2565-2570/2660-2665, 2685-2690-MHz frequencies worth UAH 601.6 million.

Respective auction took place at the Ukrainian State Center of Radio Frequencies on January 31, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

lifecell has won the second lot in the auction for 4G (LTE) licenses within the 2535-2540/2655-2660-MHz licenses worth UAH 307.65 million.

Kyiv-based Kyivstar telecommunication operator, which is part of the Ukrainian business-unit of the VimpelCom company, has won the third lot for 4G (LTE) licenses within the 2530-2535/2650-2655-MHz frequencies worth UAH 293 million.

Kyivstar has won the fifth lot in the auction for 4G (LTE) communication licenses within the band frequencies of 2520-2525/2640-2645 MHz worth UAH 330.3 million.

Kyivstar has won the fourth lot in the auction for 4G (LTE) communication licenses within the band frequencies of 2525-2530/2645-2650 MHz worth UAH 293 million.

The Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator in Ukraine (a successor of the MTC-Ukraine, Kyiv) has won the sixth lot at an auction for launching a 4G communication (LTE standard) within the band frequency of 2510-2515/2630-2635 MHz at a price of UAH 345 million.

The Vodafone Ukraine has won the seventh lot at an auction for a license for launching a 4G communication (LTE standard) within the band frequency 2515-2520/2635-2640 MHz at a price of UAH 286 million.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a total of seven lots are being auctioned off.

The said licenses are assigned for the period of 15 years.
