Artem Sytnyk, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NACB), has appealed against the Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv's decision to fine him UAH 1,700 for failing to provide documents requested by the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC).

Sytnyk announced this to the Ukrainian News Agency.

The appeal was filed with the Kyiv Appeal Court last week (January 22-27).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the court fined Sytnyk UAH 1,700 on January 17 for failing to submit documents requested by the NACB.

Earlier, the NACB filed an administrative protocol against Sytnyk under Article 188-46 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (failure to comply with the legal requirements of the NACB).

Sytnyk is accused of refusing to provide documents on a case involving possible conflict of interests to the NACB.
