President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is confident that in 2021 Ukraine will be provided with the perspective of its membership of the European Union.
He gave the position during a panel discussion with participation of President of Poland Andrzej Duda and President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite during the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"With the support from Poland and Lithuania Ukraine will obtain in 2021 the perspective of its membership of the European Union," he said.
He highlighted the importance of preservation of unity of Europe on the ground of European values. He voiced confidence that Ukraine and Europe would win in the war against fake news and propaganda.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Poroshenko says populism and fake news are most dangerous challenges facing Europe.
He calls membership of the European Union and joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) strategic goals of Ukraine.
