Mastercard Decides To Introduce Use Of Biometric Data For Confirming Transactions

In April 2019 users of the Mastercard company will be provided with opportunity to use biometric data for identification, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

A recent research of Oxford University conducted jointly with Mastercard established that 92% of professionals in the banking sector are planning to introduce biometric solutions.

According to the statement, the majority of consumers (93%) choose biometric data instead of passwords for confirming payments.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced from January 1, 2018, the functioning of the national system of biometric verification and identification of Ukrainian citizens, foreigners and stateless persons.
