Foreign Affairs Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that Ukraine is ready to move the negotiations on resolution of the conflict in the Donbas from Minsk (Belarus) to another location.

Klimkin was speaking at a press conference, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"As far as I am concerned, neither the location nor the place has an effect. If we have a reasonable understanding that changing the location will add something for us, we are ready to move to any location that will play a role. However, in reality, the problem is what is happening, the problem is on the part of Russia," he said.

The foreign affairs minister added that he did not understand how moving the talks from Minsk to Astana (Kazakhstan) would help achieve progress in the negotiations.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev recently said that United States President Donald Trump was proposing moving the negotiations on resolution of the conflict in the Donbas from Minsk to Astana.
