The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has not established involvement of the ICU investment group in the transfer of USD 1.5 billion out of Ukraine by associates of former president Viktor Yanukovych.
Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko announced this at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to him, investigators have conducted an investigation and interrogated employees of the ICU investment group.
"There is no violation of the active legislation in the activities of the broker (ICU)," Lutsenko said.
According to him, the ICU investment group did not help Yanukovych's associates to transfer funds abroad.
The prosecutor general said that investigators initially wanted to confiscate these funds as part of enforcement of former prime minister Serhii Arbuzov's sentence, but they later abandoned the idea.
In total, about 30 sentences have been handed down to citizens involved in the transfer of the USD 1.5 billion by the former president's associates.
Lutsenko stressed that another expert examination of the ICU investment group's operations has now been launched.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Bank of Ukraine's head Valeriya Hontareva, who is a former head of the ICU investment group, has denied reports by the Al Jazeera television channel that the investment group helped Yanukovych to transfer assets abroad.
