Chief of Staff Viktor Muzhenko has ordered to start preparations to field Javelin antitank missile systems provided to Ukraine for defense by the United States.
Muzhenko wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Muzhenko did not provide other details.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine asked the United States to provide it with Javelin antitank missile systems.
President Petro Poroshenko stated that Ukraine would receive lethal weapon for defense from the United States based on a phone conversation with United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson who confirmed this to President.
