The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) neither confirms nor disproves the information that trickled in the news about the court ordering a special confiscation of USD 1.5 billion that belonged to former president Viktor Yanukovych and his close circle.
Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin said this at a briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Chairperson of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Hontareva refuted information published by the Al Jazeera Arab online media that implied her assisting Yanukovych in taking assets out of Ukraine.
