Yurii Rossoshanskyi has accepted the charge of murdering human rights activist and lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska.
Rossoshanskyi accepted the charge during hearings at the Vyshhorod District Court of Kyiv Region to determine the measure of restraint to be taken against him.
At the same time, he opposed his detention as a measure of restraint.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Nozdrovska's body was found in a river near Vyshhorod (Kyiv region) on January 1.
As a human rights activist and lawyer, Nozdrovska sought criminal penalties for Dmytro Rossoshanskyi, whose car ran over and killed her sister Svitlana Sapatynska in 2015.
The suspect's father Yurii Rossoshanskyi was detained on January 8 on suspicion of killing Nozdrovska.
