The Ministry of Finance is initiating mandatory annual filing of declarations by individuals with high incomes.
The relevant draft law was made public on the ministry's website, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The document categorizes owners of 10% or more of the charter capital or voting rights (shares) in non-resident legal entities who declare incomes of EUR 10 million or more for the previous tax period as high-income individuals.
In addition, high-income individuals also include individuals with annual taxable income in the previous tax (reporting) year exceeds UAH 50 million.
At the same time, the document proposes that the State Fiscal Service allow provision of information about the turnover of funds in the bank accounts of such taxpayers.
According to the Ministry of Finance, 63 individuals declared incomes totaling more than UAH 7.658 billion in 2016.
The State Fiscal Service generated UAH 225.2 million from additional taxes on personal incomes and UAH 26.6 million from a military levy.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the State Fiscal Service has announced that filing of declarations will begin in January.
