Ukraine Introduces Anti-Dumping Duty Of 15.21% As For Fittings And Rolled Wire From Russia For 5 Years

The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ICIT) introduced an anti-dumping duty of 15.21% as for fittings and rolled wire from Russia for five years.

This is stated in the report of the commission published in the Uriadovyi Kurier newspaper on December 29, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The ICIT decision comes into force in 60 days after the publication of the statement (tentatively on February 28).

It is noted that the commission revealed the presence during the investigation (2016) of dumping imports to Ukraine of fittings and rolled wire from Russia, which caused significant damage to the national producer.

It is noted that the prices of dumping imports during the investigation period were lower than the prices of similar goods of the national commodity producer.

Thus, dumping imports led to a general decline in prices for a similar product.

Anti-dumping measures are applied to fitting bars with a diameter of 6-40 mm (inclusive) and rolled wire with a diameter of 5.5-14 mm (inclusive) for a period of five years.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February Ukraine launched an anti-dumping investigation into the import of fittings and rolled wire from Russia.

The investigation was started on the application of the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih steel and mining plant (Dnipropetrovsk region).
