The High Council for Public Justice (HCPJ) intends to consider the candidacy of Valentyna Symonenko for the appointment of head judge at new Supreme Court before 2018.
The Ukrainian News learnt this from HCPJ Member Pavlo Hrechkivskyi.
Hrechkivskyi said the Symonenko's file was in the inner chambers of the HCPJ thus implying that the details of the discussions could not be revealed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the HCPJ postponed considering appointment of Symonenko as head judge at new Supreme Court.
High Qualification Commission of Judges submitted a list with 120 names of judges selected through an open contest for new Supreme Court.
