Serhii Rybalka: Parliamentary financial committee has reached a compromise on creation of a credit registry

Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Policy and Banking, during the meeting on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, approved a bill on creation and management of the credit registry of National Bank of Ukraine (registered under No. 7114) and recommended that the parliament pass it.

The bill was approved taking into account the propositions announced at the meeting of the working group on improving the bill that involved representatives of National Bank of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance, international financial organizations, European Commission and experts on Friday, December 15.

"The Committee was able to reach a compromise on this issue and swiftly improved it with the help of experts and, given the urgency, recommended that Verkhovna Rada pass the bill into the law” Serhii Rybalka, MP, head of the working group on improving the bill and former chairman of the parliamentary financial committee said after the meeting.

He also expressed hope that the bill will be considered by the parliament this very week, given it’s passing is necessary for obtaining further loans and stabilizing Ukraine’s financial system and has been recommended by the international financial institutions.
