Rada Bans Installation Of Communal Gas Meters Without Consent Of Co-Owners Of Apartment Building

The Verkhovna Rada has banned the installation of communal gas meters without the consent of co-owners of the apartment building.

325 MPs with the minimum required 226 voted for the adoption of the relevant bill No.5722, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers postponed for an indefinite period the publication of the price of natural gas at the level of import parity for the period from October 1, 2017 until March 31, 2018.

According to the methodology for determining the price of gas at import parity, established by Resolution No.187 of March 22, 2017, from October 1, 2017, the price of gas for the population and district heating companies should increase by 17.6%.

In early November, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk announced that Ukraine and the IMF are continuing negotiations on the price of gas for the population.
