Ukraine Withdrawing Its Representatives From JCCC On Government-Controlled Donbas Territory

Ukraine is withdrawing its representatives from the Joint Center on Control and Coordination of issues related to the ceasefire regime and the stabilization of the situation on the line of contact in Donbas (JCCC) on the government-controlled territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Yosyp Venskovych, the deputy spokesperson for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this on the 112 Ukraine television channel, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

At the same time, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ukraine's representatives in the JCCC will continue their work despite Russia's withdrawal of its representatives.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Russia has decided to withdraw its representatives from the JCCC on December 19.

Russia made this decision in connection with the new procedure for entry of Russian citizens into Ukraine, including the introduction of preliminary electronic messages about intention to visit the country, which is planned for introduction on January 1, 2018.
