Talks on provision of Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) to Ukraine by the European Union in the period of 2018-2019 will begin after the New Year.
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze announced this in comments to Ukrainian News Agency.
The deputy prime minister said that the Ministry of Finance would hold the talks and confirmed that the Macro-Financial Assistance was expected to total EUR 1.8 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the European Commission will not provide EUR 600 million to Ukraine as the third tranche of its Macro-Financial Assistance to the country.
Previously, Ukraine received two tranches of Macro-Financial Assistance totaling EUR 1.2 billion out of the envisaged EUR 1.8 billion.
