Japan Donates To State Emergency Service 4 Special Vehicles, Equipment For Mine-Clearance

The State of Japan has transferred to the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine four special vehicles and equipment for detection and defusing explosive remnants of war (ERW).

The official ceremony of transfer took place in the attendance of the Ukrainian officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and State Emergency Service, diplomats from the Embassy of Japan to Ukraine and members of the United Nations international technical assistance team of the United Nations Office for Project Services, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The equipment that has been transferred to Ukraine included four mobile pyrotechnic vehicles and four georadars to detect the unexploded ordnance.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Japan International Cooperation Agency opened its representative office in Ukraine.
