Prosecutor Oleksandr Hovoruschak has said that there is a threat to the life and health of former president of Georgia and leader of the New Forces Movement party Mikheil Saakashvili from Russian intelligence agencies.
Hovoruschak stated this during a court session, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the prosecutor, house arrest does not prevent Saakashvili from communicating with his supporters.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association parliamentary faction's leader Yuliya Tymoshenko and nine other members of the Ukrainian parliament have asked the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv to allow them to stand surety for Saakashvili.
