Brandy Production Up 22.3% To 248,500 Decaliters And Cigarette Production Up 15.5% To 9.3 Billion Pieces In October

In October, brandy production increased by 22.3% or 45,300 decaliters over September to 248,500 decaliters.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from the State Statistics Service.

In October 2017, the production rose by 5.5% or 13,000 decaliters over October 2016.

In the first ten months of 2017, the production fell by 14.5% or 284,700 decaliters year over year to 1,678,600 decaliters.

In October, the output of cigarettes increased by 15.5% or 1.254 billion cigarettes over September to 9.344 billion.

In October 2017, the production rose by 1.7% or 0.156 billion pieces over October 2016.

In the first ten months of 2017, the production fell by 6.1% or 4.907 billion cigarettes year over year to 75.529 billion cigarettes.

The aforementioned information does not cover Russia-annexed Crimea and Sevastopol.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September, brandy production increased by 16.4% or 28,600 decaliters over August to 203,200 decaliters.

In 2016, brandy production decreased by 7.4% or 189,700 decaliters year over year to 2,374,300 decaliters.

In September, the output of cigarettes decreased by 1.5% or 0.126 billion cigarettes over August to 8.090 billion.

In 2016, the output of cigarettes increased by 5.7% or 5.298 billion cigarettes year over year to 98.238 billion.

There are 15 enterprises producing tobacco products in the Ukrainian market.
