The police detained son of Member of the Verkhovna Rada Ihor Popov (the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko parliamentary faction) on suspicion of robbing a store in Kyiv.
The Ukrainian News learnt this from a well-informed source in law-enforcement bodies, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Bohdan Popov, born in 2003, was detained," the source said.
The source informed that the MP's son and his accomplice, wearing balaclavas, robbed food-store Prazdnichnyi.
The both robbers were detained and are currently kept in a local police department.
A criminal proceeding was opened under Article 187 (robbery).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 26, a man was admitted to hospital after being hit by a Bentley car with son of Member of the Verkhovna Rada Nestor Shufrych (the Opposition Bloc parliamentary faction) being in the driver's seat.
The accident took place at Shota Rustaveli street in Kyiv.
