The Prosecutor General's Office has begun to give its criminal cases to the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NACB).
A source in the Prosecutor General's Office announced this to Ukrainian News Agency.
According to the source, the Prosecutor General's Office will give some 1,000 cases to the NACB.
The source did not specify when the process will be complete.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 20, the Prosecutor General's Office lost powers to open criminal cases.
The Prosecutor General's Office is obliged to transfer criminal cases against former president Viktor Yanukovych to the National Anticorruption Bureau.
