Kyivport: Construction On Poshtova Square Poses Threat Of Collapse Of River Boat Station

The Kyivport Company says construction on Poshtova Square poses a threat of collapse of the building of the Kyiv River Boat Station.

The company has sent a letter to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Security Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Kyivport Company says construction machinery began to dig a construction pit near the building of the station.

"This causes damage to protected rights and lawful interests of Kyivport and poses a threat of collapse of the building of the River Boat Station," reads the letter.

The company has brought a lawsuit against the municipal enterprise Directorate of Construction of Road-Transport Facilities of Kyiv and the investor in the construction of a shopping mall on Poshtova Square Hensford Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Kyiv city state administration planed to open a pedestrian segment of the Poshtova Ploscha square once the reconstruction is finished (May 1, 2017).

The city state administration estimates the reconstruction of the Poshtova Ploscha square at UAH 497 million.
