The Solomiyanskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested two apartments of Minister of the Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov's son Oleksandr Avakov as well as one apartment and two houses of former deputy minister of internal affair Serhii Chebotar.
Deputy Chairperson of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SACPO) Vadym Kryvenko told the Ukrainian News, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, the court considers arresting property of the third suspect in the case, businessman Volodymyr Lytvyn.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 1, the court refused to arrest Oleksandr Avakov, Chebotar and Lytvyn accused of embezzlement of UAH 14 million during state procurement of backpacks to the National Guard by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and released them on a personal obligation.
