A Russian court in Krasnodar has rejected an appeal against arrest of Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Hryb until January 4, 2018.
The court considered the appeal on Tuesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The defense requested the court to change the measure of preventive punishment for home arrest.
Pavlo Hryb was not delivered to the court from the Krasnodar remand prison and took part in the sitting via video link.
His mother was present in the court room.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the court in the Russian Federation has prolonged the time in jail for 19-years old citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Hryb, captured by Russian special forces in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, until January 4, 2018.
Mass-media speculated that Hryb might have been detained by Russian Federal Services and charged with terrorism.
Hryb's father said his 19-years old son went to Gomel (Belarus) to meet a girlfriend who he had encountered in online social media.
The Chernihiv local prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-trial investigation into Hryb's disappearance on the territory of Belarus.
