In October, the net purchase of foreign currency by the population exceeded sales for the first time since January 2015.
This is said in a report of the National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In October, the population sold USD 709.6 million and bought USD 712 million.
Thus, the net purchase of currency by the population was USD 2.4 million.
The last time the purchase of currency exceeded the sale in January 2015.
Since the beginning of the year, the population sold USD 2 billion more than they bought.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the population sold foreign-current cash totaling USD 2.48 billion more than they bought in 2016.
