The National Anticorruption Bureau (NACB) on Tuesday, October 31, conducts searches at an apartment of Oleksandr Avakov, son of Minister of the Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
The Ukrainian News Agency learnt this from a source within the NACB.
According to the report, the searches are being conducted under an investigation into procurement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of backpacks for the National Guard that had the signs of embezzlement and corruption.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October 2016, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecution promised to announce suspicion to several persons under the embezzlement case during procurement of backpacks for the National Guard by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
