Former president of Georgia and leader of the Movement of New Forces party Mikheil Saakashvili has received documents on termination of his Ukrainian citizenship from the Presidential Administration.
Saakashvili announced this to reporters, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I am also going to court today or tomorrow because we have finally received documents on citizenship from the Presidential Administration, and we will appeal against the termination of my citizenship," Saakashvili said.
He did not provide further details.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the State Migration Service announced in July that President Petro Poroshenko had terminated Saakashvili's Ukrainian citizenship.
