The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine intends to improve availability and raise quality of medical services in rural areas.
A total of 258 parliamentary members backed respective bill No. 7117, when 226 votes enough to pass the decision, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In compliance with the bill, to attract highly-qualified specialists to work in rural areas, it is offered to set the system of motivations, in particular, provision of such specialists with housing and official vehicles, etc.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko calls for introduction of information technologies in development of rural medicine.
Poroshenko hopes that the World Bank would support the program for introduction of telemedicine in Ukrainian villages.
