The National Bank of Ukraine in September has raised a salary 1.5-fold to all members of its executive board except for the Chairperson Valeriya Hontareva.
Press service of the NBU announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the statement, the salaries of the NBU Chairperson and board members remained unchanged for several years and below the average level of compensation for similar positions in Ukrainian banks.
Previously the NBU Chairperson received UAH 163,000, their deputies UAH 150,000 per month.
In September 2017, Deputy Chairperson received salaries in the range between UAH 224,000 and UAH 257,000 (Oleh Churii - UAH 224,000, Kateryna Rozhkova and Roman Borysenko - UAH 230,000 each, and Dmytro Solohub - UAH 257,800).
According to the Law of Ukraine On National Bank of Ukraine, a fixed salary of the NBU Chairperson is established at the level not exceeding the average level of fixed remunerations received by bank chairpersons in Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, NBU Chairperson Hontareva announced her resignation and submitted a statement to President on April 10.
Hontareva finished her professional activity at the NBU on May 11, and does not intend to return to her capacity as the NBU Chairperson.
