Transparency International Ukraine, a branch of Transparency International, sees no conflict of interests in President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko's granting the title of Honored Lawyer to Deputy Prosecutor General / Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi.
Executive Director Yaroslav Yurchyshyn said this in an interview with Ukrainian News Agency.
"There is no conflict of interests in it. The President is entitled to grant such titles... There is suspicion it is an attempt to influence the position of Nazar Kholodnytskyi," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Poroshenko granted the title of Honored Lawyer to Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Kholodnytskyi.
