First Deputy Minister for Agrarian Policy and Food Maksym Martyniuk says state subsidies to one agrarian company will be limited in 2018 by UAH 150 million. The Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The total sum of state subsidies to agricultural producers will make UAH 2 billion in 2018. Small farms will receive UAH 0.5 billion in 2018. Another UAH 2 billion will be allocated for construction and development of livestock breeding complexes. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the draft state budget for 2018 provides for increasing state support for agricultural producers by UAH 1 billion or 16% to UAH 7.3 billion in 2018, compared with 2017. UAH 2 billion will be used to subsidize crop and livestock farming. In addition, the amount allocated for financing the 20% compensation of the cost of agricultural equipment with a high degree of localization will be increased from UAH 550 million to UAH 1 billion. UAH 2.3 billion will be allocated for supporting livestock farming, in particular, this amount is intended for compensating interest rates on loans obtained for financing construction of new livestock complexes. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a concept for development of farms and agricultural cooperatives in the period of 2018-2020, which provides for annual funding of at least UAH 1 billion.
