Ukraine Gets Access To NATO Electronic Database For Logistics

Ukraine has obtained access to the NATO electronic database for logistics.

The press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement reads that after approval by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of the intergovernmental Agreement on support of joint management of items of supply between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) and further exchange of diplomatic notes the Agreement entered into force in Ukraine as an associated nation.

According to the statement, the participation in the partnership on support of joint management of items of supply will provide Ukraine with access to the database of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The statement reads that due to this access to the database, Ukraine will have opportunity to exchange information between nations and participate in NATO tenders, execute online purchase of items of supply, exchange surplus stores, form joint/multinational inventory and supplies, etc.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allowed the Defense Ministry 100% advance payments to purchase of commodities, works and services from NATO until March 31, 2019.
