The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 100 million for enhancing protection of ammunition depots.
The Cabinet of Ministers endorsed this resolution at its sitting on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The sum will be channeled from the reserve fund of the state budget.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 26 at about 10 p.m., a fire occurred in the territory of ammunition depots of the Ministry of Defense near the population center of Kalynivka (Vinnytsia region).
Over 34,000 tons of ammunition was destroyed.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko has accused Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk of untimely allocation of funds for strengthening of guarding the Ministry of Defense's ammunition depot in Vinnytsia region.
