The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has decided to hold urgent debates on the Law of Ukraine On Education on October 12.
This is said in the session week agenda, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
On Monday, the PACE approved the final agenda for the week.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. (local time).
The rapporteur at the debates will be Andres Herkel, an Estonian politician and intellectual / member of the culture, science, education and media committee (the European People's Party).
Besides, a total of 26 parliamentary members have registered for the debates: six from Ukraine, six from Romania, four from Hungary, two from the Federal Republic of Germany, two from the Republic of Moldova, as well as from United Kingdom, the French Republic, the Republic of Serbia, the Kingdom of Belgium, Georgia and the Republic of Bulgaria.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, PACE had obtained a request for debates on the education law between October 9 and 13.
Respective request was supported by over 20 parliamentarians from Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, the Italian Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany and United Kingdom.
