Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko says Russian criminal lord Vladimir Tiurin is the customer of the murder of former Russian State Duma member Denis Voronenkov.
Yurii Lutsenko announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
He says Vladimir Tiurin is ex-husband of Voronenkov's widow Maria Maksakova.
Yurii Lutsenko says Vladimir Tiurin agreed to organize the murder of Voronenkov for the FSB of Russia in exchange for some preferences.
According to Lutsenko, Vladimir Tiurin financed the murder.
Lutsenko says Voronenkov was murdered as a witness in the case against former president Viktor Yanukovych.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has completed investigation into the murder of former Russian State Duma member Denis Voronenkov.
The Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv has prolonged until December 8 the arrest of 'Pavlohrad Self-Defense' activist Yaroslav Tarasenko, who is suspected of involvement in the murder of Voronenkov.
According to investigators, Tarasenko drove Voronenkov's killer to the scene of the crime.
