Cabinet of Ministers, Naftogaz of Ukraine, supervisory board

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to decide to appoint interim supervisory board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company.

Ukrainian News agency learnt this from well-informed sources being aware of Government's plans to tackle the crisis within the Naftogaz's supervisory board.

According to the report, the Government plans to appoint two supervisory board members without tender.

At the same time, four independent supervisory board members will be appointed under respective proposals from international financial organizations, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank.

According to the report, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wants to avoid the risk of accusations of political influence on the company through appointment of the interim supervisory board under agreement with the international financial organizations.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, four of five supervisory board members of Naftogaz of Ukraine have already submitted their resignation statements.
