2 Border Guards Disappear On Russian Border In Sumy Region October 3

On October 3, two border guard officers of the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) have disappeared on the border with the Russian Federation in Sumy region.

Press service of the SBGS has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, two officers were patrolling a segment of the state border when at approximately 10 p.m. the communication with them severed and they have been missing since then.

At the same time, the Russia mass media informed about detention by Russian Federal Security Services two transgressors who introduced themselves as border guards of the Sumy border guard squad.

Ukrainian authorities are checking this information.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, investigators of the Chernihiv Prosecutor's Office opened a pre-trial investigation into disappearance of citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Hryb in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

In September, Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Pavlo Hryb was in a pre-trial detention unit in Krasnodar (Russia) and faced terrorism charges.
