This is stated in the agenda of the Kyiv City Council meeting on October 5, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the draft decision, Peremohy Avenue is proposed to return the historical name - Brest-Lytovskyi.
Public discussions of the renaming took place on the site of the Kyiv city administration from November 16, 2016 to January 16, 2017.
1,172 people took part in the voting.
Of these, 810 citizens (69%) supported the renaming of Peremohy Avenue, the rest - opposed.
Peremohy Avenue is known from the first half of the nineteenth century as Zhytomyrske and Kyivo-Brestske Highways.
Since the end of the nineteenth century, from the beginning of its construction, it was called Brest-Lytovske Highway, since 1964 - Brest-Lytovskyi Avenue.
The present name was given to the avenue in 1985.
Also, Druzhby Narodiv Boulevard, running from the railway overpass to Patona Bridge, is proposed to be named after the founder of Ukrainian nationalism Mykola Mikhnovksyi.
In addition, for the voting was submitted renaming of Heroiv Stalinhradu Avenue in Obolonskyi district in the avenue of the Ukrainian poet and composer Volodymyr Ivasiuk, the author of the songs Vodohrai and Chervona Ruta.
During the public discussion, the renaming received 737 votes "for" and 765 votes "against", but half of the votes against the renaming were not taken into account due to their recognition as fake.
It is also planned to rename Marshala Tymoshenko Street in Obolonskyi district to the street of the poet Mykola Kaharlytskyi, Moskovska Street - to the street of the participant of the ATO Dmytro Hodzenko and others.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Kyiv City Council earlier renamed Henerala Vatutina Avenue into Romana Shukhevycha Avenue.
