Cabinet Appoints Sheremeta Deputy Agricultural Minister

Cabinet of Ministers, Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, Viktor Sheremeta, deputy minister

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Viktor Sheremeta to the post of deputy minister of agrarian policy and food.

The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Sheremeta will deal with issues of farming, cooperation and rural areas.

Sheremeta was born on January 2, 1963.

He is the owner of the Herkules farm and Agroenerhia LLC (both - Kyiv region), as well as the first vice president of the Association of Farmers.

Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Sheremeta declared UAH 338,730 of income and 13 land plots with a total area of 295,754 square meters belonging to him and his wife, for 2016.

Ukrainian News Agency has learnt this from the data posted in the State Register of Declarations of Persons Authorized to Fulfill Functions of the State and Local-Self Government.

Wages of the declarer amounted to UAH 171,000, income from the provision of property for rent - UAH 29,254, other income - UAH 138,476.

The spouse of the deputy minister for last year declared UAH 228,726 of income.

Sheremeta owns two residential buildings (95.6 and 91.square meters), five land plots in Yerkovtsi in Kyiv region (35,480, 35,746, 3,002, 2,478 and 34,112 square meters), a plot of 1,200 square meters in Stolpiahy of Kyiv region and two plots in Hlanyshiv in Kyiv region (20,530 and 21,470 square meters).

His spouse owns a dwelling house (79.5 square meters), a store (43.7 square meters ), four plots in Yerkovtsi (35,431, 34,113, 35,650 and 34,114 square meters), a plot of 2,428 square meters in Dovha Hreblia of Kyiv region, as well as the 2012 Toyota Corolla.

Sheremeta and his spouse are the owners and ultimate beneficiaries of the Hercules farm (Yerkovtsi).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 23, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Kutovyi wrote a resignation letter.
