The total state debt (direct and state-secured) in August rose by 0.65% or USD 0.5 billion to USD 76.56 billion as at August 31.
The Ministry of Finance has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The state and state-secured debt as at late August was UAH 1,958.37 billion or USD 76.56 billion over UAH 1,971.15 billion or USD 76.06 billion month over month.
The total size of the direct debt as at August 31 made UAH 1,661.67 billion or USD 64.96 billion over UAH 1,659.69 billion or USD 64.04 billion month over month.
At that the direct external debt in August decreased by USD 0.14 billion to USD 37.30 billion, while the direct domestic debt rose to UAH 692.49 billion or USD 27.66 billion.
As at August 31, the state-secured debt made UAH 296.71 billion or USD 11.60 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2016, the total state debt of Ukraine rose from USD 65.51 to USD 70.97 billion.
