The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 100 million for a cleanup operation following the explosions at the ammunition depot of the Defense Ministry outside Kalynivka, Vinnytsia region.
The cabinet endorsed this decision at its sitting on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
First Vice Prime Minister / Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv says the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 100 million to the Vinnytsia regional state administration.
He says another UAH 23.5 million has been allocated to the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the State Emergency Situations Service.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a fire at the ammunition depot began on September 26 at about 10 p.m.
Military prosecutors have opened a criminal case on fact of subversive action in connection with the fire and explosions at the ammunition depot of the Defense Ministry outside Kalynivka in Vinnytsia region.
The State Emergency Situations Service says 24,000 people had been evacuated from Kalynivka and Vinnytsia districts as at 6 a.m.
Two people have got injuries as a result of a fire and explosions at the ammunition depot.
Four private houses have been damaged as a result of a fire and explosions at the ammunition depot.
