The Mykolaiv Armor-Building Plant (MABP, Mykolaiv), that is part of the Ukroboronprom state-run defense industrial concern, has upgraded a batch of armored combat reconnaissance patrol vehicles (CRPVs) for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukroboronprom has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The upgraded vehicles received modern digital radio stations manufactured in one of the EU countries and generally received the equipment revamp," the statement said.
In addition, the upgraded CRPVs has more ergonomic, better positioned manholes for quicker deployment of the crew, and with other improvements, the vehicle better suits the needs of Ukrainian military.
The Armed Forces have CRPVs in service.
The CRPV is intended for conducting reconnaissance, accompanying convoys and as a platform for mounting special weapons.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, between July 2014 and July 2017, the Ukroboronprom transferred to the Armed Forces 15,903 pieces of military technique.
The Ukroboronprom was founded in December 2010 and incorporates 134 enterprises of the military-industrial defense sector.
