Law enforcement agencies have arrested Khachatur Khachatryan, a member of the Myrhorod city council (Poltava region) from the faction of the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko, on suspicion of murder of member of the city council from the Svoboda Party Oleh Suprunenko.
Verkhovna Rada member Oleh Liashko announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Liashko presented his condolences to the family of the killed member of the city council.
Liashko called on Khachatryan to retire from the city council.
Suprunenko was attacked in Myrhorod on July 12 and he died on August 7.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Volodymyr Stayura, the head of the Ternopil city chapter of the Svoboda Party and a deputy of the Ternopil city council, died on August 26.
